‘Tykes and Vikings: Looking for the Old Norse Influence on Northern English Vocabulary’
A talk by Dr Richard Dance of the University of Cambridge Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic.

Oct28YDS Annual General Meeting Saturday, 28th October at 1400

This year the AGM will be more of a social affair. It will be held at:
The Beechwood Close Hotel, 19 Shipton Rd, York, YO30 5RE
The meeting will be followed by a buffet lunch at approximately 3.00pm (£9.50 per head).
All members, together with members of the East Yorkshire Dialect Society and spouses/partners are welcome to attend the meeting and/or to join us for the buffet afterwards.
If possible, please let me know by 14th October if you intend to come to the buffet.
