A Yorkshireman’s Knaresborough – AGM

The YDS AGM takes place in Knaresborough this year, at Gracious Street Methodist Church, preceded by a regular Council meeting and followed by an event open to the public, commemorating that great Yorkshireman, scholar, and raconteur Arnold Kellett, whose home Knaresborough was.
More details will be follow, but put a note in your diary now, and come along to enjoy some Yorkshire Yammer, a bit of larnin’ about the man, and maybe a slice of spice cake too.
The intended timetable is confirmed as
YDS AGM 1:30 ends at 2.30pm prompt.
2:30pm Doors open to public – light refreshments exhibition, general chat.
3pm talks by Kathy, Ruth and Colin about Arnold Kellett;
4pm readings of AK’s poems and prose in Yorkshire Dialect by members of YDS,
4.30 exhibition and general social chat continues,
5pm close.
