Your Words – Interactive Yorkshire Dialect Exhibition come to Hawes

The acclaimed Leeds University Dialect & Heritage Project exhibition will be visiting the Dales Countryside Museum, in Hawes National Park Centre, Old Station, Hawes, between February 1^st and April 19^th.  Films, recordings, exhibition items, and illustrations of varieties of Yorkshire Dialect, written and spoken, will be on display.   Visitors will be asked to contribute their own “local” words remembered from childhood or schooldays – or even in constant daily use!

The Dales Countryside Museum is open daily 10am – 5pm.
