Dec09Christmas Crack 2023

This year’s Crack will be held on Saturday, December 9th (1400 – 1600) at Brighouse Library & Art Gallery, Halifax Road, Brighouse, HD6 2AF

The Crack is being hosted by the Friends of the Rydings  – the guest speaker is former police officer, writer, journalist, speaker and raconteur par excellence, Chris Helm, popular in Yorkshire and beyond!

Feb24“Let’s talk Tyke”

A six-week course exploring and helping to preserve that part of our heritage of which we Yorkshire folk are rightly proud: Yorkshire Dialect

 

Venue:  The Conference Suite, St John the Divine, St John’s Street, Rastrick, HD6 1HT (Near Brighouse Railway Station) – Disabled access.

Saturdays -13th, 20th, 27th January & 10th, 17th, 24th February (10:00-12:00 midday)

Course fee: £30.00  Places limited – registration essential

Led by Rod Dimbleby,  Chairman of the Yorkshire Dialect Society.
